To all members of the VBFA,
I would like to give everyone a quick overview of what the Vero Beach Firefighters Association does for Indian River County and its members at large. The Association is related through common membership with the local firefighter’s union – Indian River County Firefighters/Paramedics Association, Local 2201, IAFF, Inc. Membership into the Association is automatic when you become a dues paying member of Local 2201 “ the Union”. The Association is tax exempt from federal income tax under Sec 501 [c] [4] of the Internal Revenue Code. The Association’s main activities are the operation of the Vero Beach Firefighters Annual County Fair, the maintenance of the Burn Fund, establish and maintain a Firefighters Sick and Relief Fund, purchase firefighting equipment, donate station supplies if not covered by County and the donation of funds to other organizations and individuals in need. The association also makes annual donations to the Big Heart Brigade, College Scholarship Program and the Firefighter Gala/awards ceremony. The board is always available for questions in regards to the Association and never hesitate to reach out and ask for our assistance with any issues that you feel should be addressed. Thank you and be safe.
Sincerely,
Will Willmot, President
